The deep pools and runs are holding a majority of the fish, but if you’re on the river on a partly cloudy or overcast day, don’t be surprised if you see trout holding in shallower runs, tailouts and along outer seams. Regardless of the section, getting your flies down into the deepest water column is key. Anglers can drive along County Road 126, search for an appealing section of river and find a place on the side of the road to park.
